The scope of work for the project includes reconfiguration of space to serve the needs of the program, new ceilings with new lighting, new flooring, new finishes, new bathrooms, new millwork throughout and modifications of the HVAC, Electrical and Fire Alarm systems to support the new work. All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 9/13 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule. Contract term: 548 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed County(ies): New York Location: Work will be performed at SUNY Optometry. Bids will be opened at SUCF offices in Albany, NY. Estimated Range $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of SUCF Project No 411008-00 titled Renovate 7 th Floor for Clinical Operations and carrying out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: a. Construction of new Elevator Lobby, Reception and Check-Out Desks, Waiting Area and Sub- Waiting Area, Optical Exam Rooms (21), Consult Rooms (3), Faculty Meeting Rooms (3), Nurse's Station, Offices (3) and Student Workstation Room (1), Pre-Testing Room (1) and Intake Rooms (3), Optical Retail and Dispensary (including office, workroom, and storage), and Women's Toilet Room (1), Men's Toilet Room (1), Unisex Toilet Rooms (2). b. Removal of existing dumbwaiter and new concrete infill at floor slab. c. Removal of existing clay tile enclosures at existing steel. Spray fireproofing of existing (now exposed) steel. d. Asbestos Abatement of confirmed ACM at 7th floor e. Removal and replacement of HVAC system serving new 7th floor layout. f. Removal and replacement of Plumbing system serving 7 th floor, including existing piping below 7th floor slab. g. Installation of new sprinkler system in 7th floor scope area. h. Under-slab work for plumbing requires partial removal and replacement of 6th floor ceiling and appurtenances including Fire Alarm devices and light fixtures. i. Installation of new electrical power in 7th floor scope area. j. Rewiring and remounting of all existing and new fire alarm and other life safety system apparatus in 7th floor scope area. h.
