Project consists of interior renovations to the Little Theater at Rhode Island College. The College is looking to make improvements to the Little Theater in Roberts Hall. This space is currently used for classes and theater rehearsals. Classes include both dance and theater classes. The space is approximately 1,405 square feet. The nature of this project is an interior renovation within an existing building, the alterations to the building proposed for this project do not impact or change the construction type or occupancy class or use group. The existing building is a fully sprinklered building. Work scope for this project includes minimal demolition of existing interior half-height partitions, a ramp, and a door. New construction consists of an accessible entry ramp, millwork, interior finishes, and electrical. Architectural modifications: Demolition of an existing interior half-height partition, interior ramp, and a door. New construction includes an interior accessible entry ramp, millwork, interior finishes and furnishings including new floor covering. Electrical modifications: Demolition of existing light fixtures and installation of new light fixtures, receptacles, and controls. New Electrical circuits and conduit and boxes for future AV installations. Substantial completion date is August 01, 2023; Final Completion is August 14, 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin second quarter 2023.
