Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Altoona, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.

Roadway widening for approximately 2,200 LF of 1st Avenue in Altoona, between 10th Street SE and 2nd Street SE. Work items included in the project are storm drainage, replacement of city owned water and sewer lines, street lighting, sidewalks, trails, pavement markings, signage, erosion control, landscaping, construction phasing, and construction traffic control. Altoona City Council at their meeting on Monday, April 17th, 2023 at which time the Council may take action on the proposals submitted or at such time as may then be fixed. Work on the project shall commence no later than June 1, 2023. 1st Avenue shall only be closed to through traffic between June 1, 2023 and October 15, 2023. Liquidated damages of FiveHundred dollars ($500.00) per day will be assessed for each day that 1st Avenue remains closed to through traffic past October 15, 2023. Substantial completion shall be December 20th, 2023. Liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the specified contract period.
