2023 Paving 440 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, PG 64-22, Scratch/Leveling Course, 0.0-0.3 millions ESALs SRL-L, 120 Lbs/SY, to be placed on roadway. 1,021 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, PG 64-22 Wearing Course, 0.0-0.3 millions ESAL's, SRL-L , 180 LB/SY/1.5" in place. 2023 Seal coat 10,713 SY Double Bituminous Seal Coat using a Polymer Modified Emulsion & #8 Stone with a 1.0% Loss by Wash, Surface Category Condition C, ADT less than 100. The bids will be presented to the Fell Township Board of Supervisors at their regularly scheduled meeting on MONDAY, April 03, at 7:00 PM with the intent to Award. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, and bidder must be PennDOT prequalified Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Fell Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All work must be completed by August 15, 2023, for the Paving and Seal contact; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $875.00 per day for each day beyond these dates that the work remains incomplete. The Fell Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete project and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints, projected bituminous price adjustment and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. Both contract contain an Escalator Clause for quantities of bituminous material of less than 100 tons of asphalt cement. PA Prevailing Wages only apply to the 2023 Road Paving Project.
