Site work for a water / sewer project in Houston, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of the constructed and installing a gangway 80 feet length by 58 inches wide with railing a minimum three (3) feet wide side rails, with an end gate. The gangway will begin at the parking lot and meet 2022 ADA standards, except for grade. The length shall stay within the Alabama Power Company (APCO) restrictions for length. The Houston Recreation area (Lat/Long: 34 06.861'N, 87 17.720'W) is a dispersed recreation campground with 45 primitive campsites open year-round. The horse camp offers horseback riders and hunters approx. 30 miles of trail through the Bankhead National Forest. Houston Recreation area (1033 County Road 3124 Houston, AL, N, W087 17.720' Contractor will have 30 calendar days from NTP to complete all base item work. The Forest Service will have 5 days to secure the Lakeshore Use permit from Alabama Power Company (APCO) from receipt of products. Contractor per option. No work is to be performed: July 1 - 8; September 2-7. The intent of these specification in not to provide all technical requirements, but instead to provide general job requirements such that all prospective bidders will be able to make proposals to the Government. This will also enable the Government to readily evaluate and compare proposals. It is expected the successful vender shall perform the job in accordance will all specification and applicable State and county laws and ordinances.
