Contractors are urged to attend. Questions are due by 10:00 AM EST, Friday, March 31, 2023. General Intention: Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, and supervision as necessary to Paint drive lanes and restripe all parking spaces and helicopter pad. This work is to comply with current VA standards for hospital construction and patient care. This solicitation is in accordance with FAR PART 13 - SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. Contractors' personnel, including subcontractors, may be required to undergo a COVID-19 Screening. Each person shall be required to wear a mask upon entering the facility and while on campus. Using a street sweeper truck, weed eater, edger, and blowers, clean all parking, roadway, and helicopter pad surfaces before painting, remove all debris from site. B. Paint single parking spaces, painting over existing striping. New paint shall completely cover existing paint. C. Paint Handicap parking spaces, including hatched areas, painting over existing striping. New paint shall completely cover existing paint, a handicap symbol will be painted at every spot. D. Cross walk areas a. Paint new and repaint white cross walks over existing stripes. New paint shall completely cover existing paint on pavement. E. Fire zones a. Paint new and repaint red fire zone over existing curbs and stripes. New paint shall completely cover existing paint on pavement. F. Converting spaces a. When converting existing space to new function paint out existing paint with two (2) coats. b. After converting spot paint as a normal handicap spot G. Stop Bars a. Every stop sign will have a stop bar in accordance with DOT regulation b. Every stop bar will have STOP painted in two (2) foot letters prior to stop bar 36C24623Q0462 Page 7 of 49 H. Helicopter Landing Pad a. Repaint white cross, red "H", square solid safety border, dashed safety border and all other striping on landing pad. The contractor shall use reflective paint for all painting on the helicopter pad. I. Drive Lanes Paint drive lanes for entering and exiting VAMC a. Main entrance Broad Rock 1 entry lane @ 155' 2 exit lanes @ 155' b. South Drive 1 entry lane @ 240' 2 exit @ 180' and 60' dashed white c. One entrance-exit at Hopkins Road @ 120' d. Paint turn-straight arrows at exits and main hospital entrance. Period of Performance: Construction is anticipated to require ninety (90) days after the notice to proceed as this is a phased, after hours and weekend project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Scope- Clean and restripe all current active parking spaces and the Helicopter Landing Pad.
