The TOWN OF DOVER, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Dover Community Center in Dover, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by FENNICK MCCREDIE. The Project consists of but not limited to: The Project consists of the demolition of the 1971 and 1931 additions to the original 1910, 2-story Caryl School, complete gut renovation of the 1910 building, partial regrading of the site with all new vehicular parking, installation of new MEP systems, septic system, installation of a water storage tank (integral pump house) to supply the Fire Suppression system, as well as the construction of a new addition housing a large Recreational Court and a Community Room, as well as 2-story vertical circulation section attached to the back of the 1910 building. This is an addition / renovation project totaling approximately 20,000sf. Construction is anticipated to begin June 2023 with a project duration of 14 months. General Contractors have been prequalified by the awarding authority for this project. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 04/05/2023 at 2:00PM EDT for general bids. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the TOWN OF DOVER.
