The work consists of park improvements to add two soccer fields with lighting, new lighting to existing tennis courts, granite walking trails, two welcome entrances, two pedestrian gates, fencing, shade structures, one new restroom building, an accessible concrete ramp, seating areas, and concrete pads for owner provided equipment. Question Deadline 03/17/2023 at 5:00 PM CT The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the Bid considered the best value to the City, and to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action. A Bid Security in the form of a Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, or certified Cashier's Check payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. The bid security shall be submitted before the bid opening date and time. Failure to submit the bid security shall be grounds for disqualification.
