Scope of Work 1. Subcontract with a licensed medium voltage electrician to determine the condition of the duct banks, the manholes, the medium voltage cabling, step down transformers, and the medium voltage distribution switchgear. 2. Report on the existing infrastructure: the existing transformer sizes, the existing cabling sizes, the electrical characteristics of each, the size and number of manholes and interconnecting duct banks and/or conduits, including sizes of the conduits and ducts. 3. Determine recommendations for infrastructure upgrades, which might include replacing the underground duct bank system, step down transformers, medium voltage cabling, switchgear, etc. 4. Examine existing load demand for the campus and for each building, to determine predicted future loads and to determine if existing infrastructure is adequately sized. 5. Examine type of medium voltage distribution style around the site. 6. Examine predicted campus load growth. 7. Perform simple analysis of available fault current at each building's main service switchboard to determine if any of the existing infrastructure is inadequately braced. 8. Make recommendations for campus primary distribution system improvements and to accommodate future growth as well as address any deficiencies. In order to offer architectural, engineering, or landscape architectural services in response to this solicitation, the proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. The Letter of Interest should not exceed ten (10) single-sided pages or five (5) double-sided pages plus the SF 254.
