Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Athens, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a 327 GPM sanitary sewerage duplex pump station with optional gas backup pump, approximately 829 LF of 8" PVC, 306 LF of 10" PVC, 50 LF 10" DIP and 14 LF 12" DIP gravity sewer with five manholes, and approximately 1,022 LF of 8" HDPE or PVC force main with connection to an existing 12" force main. The work of constructing the project will be let under one Contract if an award should be made; and the Owner reserves the right to select the Bid considered by the Owner to be in the best interest of the Owner A cashier's check or bid bond payable to The City of Athens Utilities, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.
