Now, Therefore, if the Principal Shall Promptly Make Payment to All Persons, Firms, Subcontractors, and Corporations Furnishing Materials for or Performing Labor in the
Prosecution of the Work Provided for in Such Contract, and Any Authorized Extension or Modification Thereof, Including All Amounts Due for Materials, Lubricants, Oil, Gasoline, Coal, and Coke, Repairs on Machinery, Equipment and Tools, Consumed or Used in Connection With the Construction of Such Work, and All Insurance Premiums on Said Work, and for All Labor, Performed in Such Work Whether by Subcontractor or Otherwise, Then This Obligation Shall Be Void; Otherwise to Remain in Full Force and Effect. Bidders will have until November 1, 2023 to complete the work. Notice to Proceed will be issued after bids have been evaluated by staff and accepted by City Council The undersigned agrees to execute the form of agreement included as one of the contract documents and to furnish a construction performance bond and construction payment bond each equal in amount to 100 percent of the bid price within ten days after notice of the award of the contract and to begin work on or within ten calendar days of the date stated in the work order Bidders shall direct all questions concerning the plans and contract documents to Anthony Craft at 316-775-4510 or at acraft@augustagov.org. The right is reserved by the City to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein, to determine which is the lowest and best bid most suitable to the city and to approve the bonds.The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids covering only a portion of these specifications.
