Saving Project...

Demolition, site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work, in general, consists of the removal of existing asphalt path, removal of benches and bench bays, waste receptacles, removal of drinking fountain, removal of light posts, removal of select Meewasin signage and demolition and decommissioning of an existing Lift Station. New asphalt path, pathway lighting, installation of lookout with unit paving, railing at lookout, concrete retaining wall, irrigation (adjustments to existing system), topsoil placement and grading, seeding, mulches, tree planting, installation of Owner provided site furnishings and establishment maintenance in a highly visible and popular riverbank park. The project site is Kiwanis Memorial Park (South) in the downtown of Saskatoon, between the Broadway Bridge and the Bessborough Hotel. The trail component of the work is the first phase of trail enhancements being undertaken by the Meewasin Valley Authority in the downtown area. The lift station decommisioning work is adjacent to the trail, by the City of Saskatoon.
