The Department of Veterans Affairs has a construction requirement to repair the roof on D-Wing of building 1 at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in accordance with drawings and specifications. The NAICS code is 238160 and a Small Business size standard of $16.5 million. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This includes lightning protection work. The Contractor shall accomplish all required demolition per roof area per approved design. This shall include but is not limited to removing and disposing of existing roofing materials, drain covers, grounding cabling, roof ballast, membrane, insulation, abandoned and/or no longer used equipment curbs, loose trash/ debris and edge metal flashing. The Contractor shall install an approved roofing system per design and/or manufacturer's instructions and requirements. All pipes, drains, curbs, and other penetrations shall be addressed by the contractor. The Contractor shall install walkway pads (if required) per approved design from access points/stairs to all mechanical equipment. The Contractor shall ensure proper slope is maintained and water is directed to drains without ponding. A manufacturer's standard warranty will be provided upon completion of the new roof.
