Renovation of a transportation facility in Stratford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The City of Bridgeport, as owner and operator of the Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport, is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide design and construction services for the rehabilitation of Runway 11-29 and related improvements at the Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport. The work will be performed as part of a recently executed Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) grant effort and in accordance with applicable FAA airport design and construction standards. The consultant services required for this project shall include project administration, design drawings, contract documents, permitting (as required), bid phase services, and construction phase services. A short-list of qualified firms will be created, and a Request for Proposal will be solicited from these firms. The firm receiving the contract will be required to work closely with the Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport, the City of Bridgeport Purchasing Department, the FAA and the Connecticut Department of Economic Development (DECD.
