Renovation of a multi-residential development in Key West Nas, Florida. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

"As of April 27 ,2023 no bids received. A timeline for the rebid date of this project is not yet available." Bid Bond Required Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to provide complete restoration/repairs to two (2) unoccupied residential apartments that were damaged by smoke and fire and are located at 2675 North Roosevelt Boulevard, Apartments #3 & #4, Key West, Florida. All materials will be provided by the KWHA through the KWHA warehouse located at 1400 Kennedy Drive in Key West and through the KWHA commercial account at Home Depot and/or other vendors as needed. All materials will be picked up and transported to the project site by the Contractor. Contractor will refer to the document named "Roosevelt Gardens Fire Observation Structural Assessment" that is provided in this section of the IFB. Contractor shall provide its own temporary onsite storage container if needed or desired by Contractor. Contractor shall provide its own Dumpster. The storage container must fit into a standard parking space, and the Dumpster must fit into a standard parking space. No more than two (2) parking spaces may be continually occupied by Contractor overnight or on weekends and federal holidays. Additional parking spaces may be utilized by Contractor's workers for personal and business vehicles during contract working hours. No on-site office or storage facilities will be provided by the Housing Authority. Contractor shall conduct operations under the Contract in such a manner as to allow, during the performance of the work, ingress and egress of common areas for the tenants and other authorized persons with the KWHA's cooperation. The work shall be conducted efficiently and at the least inconvenience to the surrounding residents. The Contractor shall provide all necessary safety equipment, materials, and personnel to protect the public walks and entrances to buildings and grounds adjacent to the work areas of the Contract so that pedestrians, tenants, and the public are protected at all times. The Contractor shall protect and be responsible for the existing buildings, facilities, and improvements within the areas of the operations under the Contract. Should any portion of the buildings or areas be damaged due to work of the Contract, the Contractor shall report the conditions and circumstances to the KWHA and shall make all necessary repairs and replacements to such damaged work at its own expense. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage or loss incurred because of the work of the Contract to any tenant's property or other work, and shall, at its own expense, replace any material which, in the opinion of the KWHA, has become damaged to such extent that it cannot be restored to its original condition. All work shall be done in a neat clean manner by experienced and capable persons. The Contractor shall keep the premises free of debris and construction materials resulting from the work. All debris and such materials shall be removed from the premises at the end of each workday. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor shall assume ownership of all debris resulting from the work, remove it from the premises, and legally dispose of it, unless otherwise specified. The work shall be conducted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No work shall be conducted on weekends or Federal holidays. The work shall be completed within the time schedule established in the notice to proceed issued by the Contracting Officer. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time period established in the notice to proceed, the Contractor shall pay to the KWHA as liquidated damages the sum of $100.00 for each day of delay. The awarded Contractor is responsible for obtaining and properly displaying any necessary building permits as required by the City of Key West Land Development Regulations & Code of Ordinances.
