The Work consists of the installation of one hundred fifty (150) new window assemblies in existing masonry openings. Excepting ten (10) openings presently equipped with wood infill, the most common condition involves removal and replacement of existing windows. There exist fifty-two (52) "windowshaker" air conditioners which are to be salvaged for the Owner and replaced with flex-ducted portable air conditioning units provided by the Owner. Windows shall be designed and fabricated to be mounted from the exterior with tight fit against existing interior wood extension jams & sill and adequate exterior sealant space. New interior trim to match the existing trim profile shall be installed and painted where existing interior trim is deemed unsatisfactory to be retained. The Work is fully described and detailed in the contract documents. Refer to the Bid Documents for a complete description of work. The Local Vendor preference and Local Vendor Bid criteria apply to this project since all funds are County Funds. Bids will be received until the time of close of bids. Bid Security is required to be submitted with the bid in accordance with the General Conditions. Completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure & Employment of Aliens Statement is required to be submitted with the bid. It is intended that Addenda will also be emailed to known plan holders; however, it is the Bidders' responsibility to ensure receipt of all addenda.
