The project includes base-mounted edge and threshold lighting, new conduit and conductors, horizontal directional drilling, home run to electrical shop, and one new Constant Current Regulator (CCR). The project also includes replacing the airport's structural beacon tower with a tip-down pole, replacing a radio controller and antenna, and replacing the Runway 2/20 Runway End Identifier Light (REIL) systems. The work under the contract shall commence within ten (10) days upon issuance of a written "Notice-to-Proceed", and work shall be substantially complete on or before November 17, 2023 and ready for final payment on or before March 29, 2024 for the base bid. Milestone Phase II - The Runway 2/20 closure during Phase 2 must not exceed 14 calendar days. The proposed start date must be communicated and approved by the Airport Manager at least 30 calendar days prior to the closure. All work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. The earliest date for a Notice-to-Proceed is anticipated about June 5, 2023 (subject to FAA discretion). No runway or taxiway closures will be allowed prior to Tuesday, September 5th, 2023. Work that does not require runway or taxiway closures may occur prior to September 5th, 2023.
