The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Proposal(s) for the Rehabilitation of Water Well #5. Currently, water well #5 is out of service due to maintenance issues. Submissions should include one (1) digital copy and one (1) original and three (3) copies of the proposal and should be returned in a sealed envelope bearing the following information on the outside of the submittal envelope: the name and address of the respondent, as well as "City of Jacksonville RFP 2023-609-07; Water Well #5." The City of Jacksonville is in an area of rolling hills in East Texas, north of the county seat, Rusk, and south of Tyler, in neighboring Smith County, on U.S. Route 69. The City of Jacksonville (COJ) contains multiple water wells as part of its water distribution system. Currently, water well #5 is out of service due to maintenance issues. Water Well #5 Details: Total Well Depth - 720 ft Current Motor Size - 125 hp 1. Equipment Pull: a. Mobilize rig and crew to pull existing pumping equipment. b. Remove the pumping equipment from the well under normal removal procedures. 2. Replacement of Equipment: a. Please include the following in your proposal. i. 1,000' New 4/0 Flat Cable with ground (Submersible) ii. 1 New 125 HP 8" SME Motor iii. 1 New PGI W10LC-3 Pump bowl assembly. iv. 1,000' New 1/4 " stainless steel airline with water level detection kit v. Miscellaneous items to make well operational. 1. Note: Utilizing the customer existing well case piping 3. Equipment installation: a. Transport to location b. Mobilize rig and crew to install new pumping equipment. c. Conduct standard well production test and provide results. 4. Timeline a. All work on the well will need to be started no later than one week after the contract is signed. With all work being completed no later than 4 weeks after the start date.
