CLEARING AND GRUBBING A contractor may request notice to proceed and mobilize to perform clearing and grubbing, including removal of all logs, brush, and debris at the sites where the County has property rights prior to the nesting season and maternity roost season. Per Section 108.02.04 working days will not be charged for this work item, and work at the site may be suspended following clearing and grubbing. Mobilization for clearing and grubbing will be considered subsidiary to that pay item, per Section 112. If all necessary clearing and/or removals prohibited by the aforementioned seasons have not been completed prior to April 1, and permission to proceed has been given to the Contractor prior to October 31, the burden for coordinating, requesting, and paying for the appropriate survey shall fall on the County; the Contractor shall be responsible for completing the required clearing and/or removals on said site within the timeframe listed below: Migratory Bird Nesting Season (April 1 through September 1): Within 3 days of the nesting survey, per Section 107.01.04.h.(3). Work shall follow Section 107.01.04.h. Migratory Birds except where specified herein. Maternity Roost Season of the Northern Long-eared Bat (NLEB) (April 1 through October 31): Within 7 days of the bat habitat survey in accordance with any requirements established by the Engineer, unless otherwise directed by the Engineer
