As of August, 2023, construction commenced in July, 2023, and has been completed. For 2023 Road Program Project The project includes approximately 28,600 square yards (more or less)overlay of 9.5 mm superpave mixture to a compacted depth of 1.5" on South Keim Street from Harvey Lane to SR 724 in North Coventry Township, as well as milling of all end notches, driveway joints, curbs, and storm structures. Contract includes installation of 11,700 linear feet of double yellow line striping. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE: 3/28/2023 4:00 PM The contract will be considered for award by the Board of Supervisors during their regular meeting on April 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for ninety (90) days from the date of opening. The successful, responsible low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, both within twenty (20) days after the contract is awarded. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished by the municipality. The municipality reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. This contract will be subject to PA Prevailing Wage Requirements and will be funded in part by Pennsylvania Liquid Fuels funds. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $250 per calendar day. Location - South Keim St. (SR 724 to Harvey Lane) Provide and place 9.5 mm superpave PGS-22 .3 to <3 million ESALS, 1.5" compacted depth overlay of S. Keim St. (SR 724 to Harvey Ln.). Milling of all but joints. Sealing of all curbs, but joints and utility castings. Approximatley 11,700 linear feet waterborne paint of double yellow line striping per Penn Dot Pub. 408 section 962 with Type A beads. All proposals to include prevailing wages required by The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
