The work of this project generally includes construction of Toilet Room Renovations at the Learning Campus in accordance with Plans and Specifications prepared by KBA Engineering, p.c., Project Architect/Engineer. Work Includes General Construction (including HVAC Construction, Plumbing and Electrical Construction). Sealed bids are invited for a single prime contract for: Toilet Room Renovations Project at the Learning Campus The bid must be accompanies by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of (10%) of the Bid amount, made payable to NEIU-19. NEIU-19 reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof or to waive any informalities in the Bidding. Documents may be reviewed at the office of KBA or the NEIU-19 Office located at 1200 Line Street, Archbald, PA 18403 during normal business hours (M-F 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM) . Prime Contractors purchasing bid documents must register when purchasing documents to ensure that they will receive information issued during the bidding period. Project drawings, specifications and bid documents may be obtained electronically at no cost. To request electronic documents contact KBA Engineering, p.c. by email at mchale@kbapc.net or at the following address or phone number: KBA Engineering, p.c. 25 South Washington Avenue Jermyn, PA. 18433 Phone: 570-876-5744 Fax: 570-876-4299 All requests for documents will require the following information to be submitted with the request: The requesters name, company name, contact name, address, telephone number and email address. **BIDDERS MUST OBTAIN THEIR OWN SET OF DOCS FROM KBA IN ORDER TO BE AN ELIGIBLE BIDDER. ** Performance Bonds: Successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for Performance and Labor and Material Bonds which are acceptable to NEIU-19. Bidders proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check or bid bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents. A satisfactory corporation surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid. The surety shall name as payee or oblige, NEIU-19. A Non-Collusion Affidavit of Contractor will be required to be signed and notarized prior to the award of any contract. A no-lien agreement will be required to be signed and filed by the contractor before any work begins on the project. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, and shall be accompanied by 10% bid guaranty, payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all irregularities, mistakes, omission informalities relative thereto. Wage Requirements; Equal Employment Opportunity: Attention is called to the wage and equal employment opportunity requirements of this project, as contained in the Bid Documents. All workers employed on this project shall receive the proper wages for the particular job(s) they are doing according to the Wage and Hour Schedule included in this Specification. Prevailing wages as established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor rates, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, specifications and related matters. Any inquiry received seven (7) or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration
