Site work for a water / sewer project in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

For Pike Branch at Wilton Road Stream Stabilization Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualification applications for the construction of the Pike Branch at Wilton Road Stream Stabilization Project. This project will be advertised for bid individually. The bid schedule will depend upon funding availability. The estimated cost of this construction project is anticipated to be in the range of $2,000,000 to $3,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This will be a prevailing wage contract. Approved pre-qualification applications shall be valid for one year from notification date. If this project is not advertised for bid within this timeframe, Fairfax County will issue a new invitation for prequalification. Only firms that have been pre-qualified in accordance with the procedures in this Pre-qualification Application will be eligible to submit bids for these projects. Bids received from those who have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. This project consists of approximately 1,070 feet of stream stabilization of the Pike Branch of Cameron Run in the Franconia District. The project includes stream stabilization and soldier pile retaining walls. The stream work includes: grading, excavation, fill, stream realignment, in-stream rock and log structures, reinforced stream bed, wetland and riparian corridor enhancement, and restoration of disturbed areas with native vegetation. Natural Channel Design (NCD) standards have been incorporated into the stabilization design. The solider pile retaining walls include approximately 670 feet of solider pile retaining walls with concrete lagging. Construction stakeout is the Contractor's responsibility All questions concerning this Pre-qualification Application procedure shall be submitted in writing to the Utilities Design and Construction Division as outlined on the Application instructions. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all Applications, and to waive informalities and irregularities in the Pre-qualification Application procedure.
