For Custodial Services at the Readington Middle School, the Holland Brook School, the Whitehouse School, and the Three Bridges School Any and all questions that the Bidder may have are to be submitted to the School Business Administrator in writing via e-mail or fax at 908-534-2885 no later than 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023. A written response to the questions will be returned to Bidder not later than Friday, March 24, 2023. Sealed bids shall be delivered to the Office of the Business Administrator between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on official business days. All bids must be submitted in TRIPLICATE and duly time stamped in the Office of the School Business Administrator not later than the Bid Opening Date and Time as stated in this Advertisement. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the Project on the outside, must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the "Readington Township Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000); and must be delivered to the Business Administrator at the above place, by the hour named. The Board assumes no responsibility for bids that are misnamed or misdirected. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive informality in the bidding, pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations governing same, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. No proposal shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Board. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. pertaining to the "Public School Contracts Law", and all applicable federal, state and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations, including N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1,1 et seq. regarding Affirmative Action of all authorities having jurisdiction over the provision of goods and services, shall apply to the contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive informality in the process if it is in the best interest of the Board.
