The Contractor shall be responsible for the entire operation to clear, excavate and plant the wetland mitigation area per the technical specifications provided in the bid documents. The cleared vegetation shall be removed from the site and processed (documentation must be provided by the Contractor if removed from site and processed showing it was taken to a permitted facility) or piled and burned. The Contractor will be required to obtain all necessary authorizations and permits from local and state agencies for burning the vegetative piles if performed. Burning will be performed by a Florida Certified Pile Burner using an air curtain incinerator or similar method to reduce the release of smoke to the surrounding properties. Excavated soils that meet specification shall be stockpiled in Stockpile A as shown in the exhibit provided in the bid documents. Plantings will meet attached specifications inclusive of a 365-day warranty period. The Contractor will perform inspections at a minimum quarterly of the area and will notify the County of the results of the inspections. Sarasota County has applied for and received a SWFWMD ERP Construction Permit, see bid documents for all permits associated with this project. Sarasota County ("County"), a political subdivision of the State of Florida, will receive bids on the date indicated for the purpose of selecting a contractor to provide wetland mitigation to the North Borrow Area as specified herein.
