Reference Number : 0000313197 The City of Glen Cove Water Department operates a well at the Nancy Court Pump Station. Sand and gravel are present within the well equipment, an indication of well screen and/or casing failure. The existing electrical equipment and control systems are in poor condition and have exceeded their expected useful life. The purpose and intent of this Notice is to solicit bids from qualified contractors to raise the existing well above grade, demolish the existing well vault, line the existing well, furnish and install a prefabricated concrete building over the well, and perform miscellaneous electrical improvements. The City has received grant funding for this project under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State and Tribal Assistance Grants (STAG) program. The grant reimbursement is up to $1,000,000 and is allocated to pay a portion of total construction costs. Grant administration for the project is managed by the Glen Cove Community Development Agency (CDA). Attention is called to Appendix D: EPA Special Grant Requirements – which contains information on special requirements applicable to this project.
