Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Bethlehem, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Town of Bethlehem, Connecticut (Town) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals thereto for construction work as shown on plans for Memorial Park Phase 1 Renovations. Work will be funded by a Small-Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grant and all work and record keeping shall conform to program requirements. The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items Contact "Call Before You Dig" prior to the start of construction. Install Sedimentation and Erosion Control measures. Remove and dispose of existing bituminous concrete tennis courts (full depth) and existing chain link fence and gates. Perform construction of (2) post tensioned concrete tennis court and (2) pickleball court construction including excavation, compacted base, fencing, etc. Perform concrete sidewalk construction including excavation, compacted base, etc. Perform related work incidental to project. Construction activities shall take place during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Secure the necessary permits and bonds and maintain required insurance. Clean-up, disposal of waste and debris, and restoration of work site to original condition and to the satisfaction of the Town of Bethlehem and the Engineer. All other related work required to complete the project. This is a public works project covered by the prevailing wage law (CT General Statues Section 31- 53) Each bid shall be accompanied by one (1) of the following forms of security: a cashier's check; a certified check: or a bid bond, which security shall be made payable to the Town of Bethlehem and shall be in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the amount bid. Any bid bond submitted as security shall be in the form provided for such bid bond in the bid package documents and such bid bond shall be executed and issued by a surety company acceptable to the Town of Bethlehem. Any bid that does not contain the above requisite security or any bid that contains security that does not comply with the foregoing requirements, shall be rejected as non-responsive. Bids will be opened publicly at the above referenced Town of Bethlehem offices at the time and date that bids are due. The Town of Bethlehem reserves the right to reject any or all the bids, or any part(s) thereof, and/or to waive any informality or informalities in any bid or the bidding process. The Town of Bethlehem will base its evaluation of the bids on price, the demonstrated skill, ability and integrity of each bidder to perform the work required in the bid package documents and any other factor or criterion that the Town of Bethlehem deems relevant or pertinent for such evaluation. Neither the Town of Bethlehem nor any of its officers, employees, or authorized agents shall be liable for any claims or damages resulting from the evaluation, selection, non-selection or rejection of any bid submitted in response hereto. All bids shall remain open for Sixty (60) days after the bid due date. An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Minority/Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services.
