Timely questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted in accordance with the deadline for questions and Respondents are instructed not to contact the initiating division directly The purpose of this project is to improve pedestrian safety. The proposed work includes the construction of pedestrian channelizing fences along Alafaya Trail and University Blvd, midblock crossings at Alafaya Trail & Solon Dr and University Blvd & Turbine Dr, and a 10-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side of Alafaya Trail. Along Alafaya Trail, the project begins at Research Pkwy and ends at McCulloch Rd. Along University Blvd, the project begins at Quadrangle Blvd and ends at Alafaya Trail. The total project length is approximately 11,151 linear feet (2.112 miles). The Alafaya & University Safety Improvements project consists of: 4" Concrete Sidewalk, 6" Concrete Driveways and Curb Returns, Pedestrian Channelizing Fences, 4 New Mast Arms and Relevant Signal Equipment for Midblock Crossings, Curb Ramp Updates, Curb Inlets and Drainage Pipes, Type F Curb and Gutter, Type E Curb and Gutter, Traffic Separator, Placement of Pavement Markings, Placement of Signs
