NESTUCCA, NESKOWIN, AND SAND LAKE WATERSHEDS COUNCIL (NNSLWC)LARGE WOOD PLACEMENT PROJECT Bids due 2:00 pm, March 31, 2023 INVITATION TO BIDThe Nestucca, Neskowin, and Sand Lake Watersheds Council is soliciting bids from contractors experienced in placement of large wood for in-stream habitat restoration. . All bidders shall submit their last questions to nnwc@nestuccawaters.org no later than 10:00 am on March 27, 2023, so that a Bid Addendum may be issued if needed without altering the bid date. This project requiresthe services of an instreamhabitatrestorationcontractorfor on-site transport and placement of logs, with and without attached root wads, individually and as structured jams, in Sand Creek, Andy Creek, and Jewel Creek near Sand Lake in Tillamook County, Oregon. A total of up to 76 individual placements and structures will be made within approximately 2.69 total miles (3,876 meters) of stream. Where utilized, structures will be comprised of 3-10 logs with 50% having rootwads attached (generally). The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following items: on-site transport of logs already stockpiled in staging locations near the placementsitesto each placementsite, and placement of logs individually and into assembled structures following instructions of an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Habitat Restoration Biologist (Biologist).
