Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fall River, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This Project Has a 5% Goal and Applicable Compliance Forms Must Be Submitted With Each Bid. Massachusetts Prevailing State Wage Rates Apply to This Project. Each Bid Must Include a Bid Deposit Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount of the Bid Considering All Alternates. The Bid Deposit May Be in the Form of Cash, Certified Check, Bank Treasurers of Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond From a Responsible Surety Company Licensed to Do Business in the State of Massachusetts. Each Bidder Must Be Prequalified in Accordance With 720 Cmr 5.00, "prequalification of Contractors" by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Highway Division (Massdot Highway Division) With the Class of Work as "highway Construction" for the Project With an Estimated Value of $1,380,000 Will Be Required. In Accordance With the Requirements of M.g.l. C. 30, Sec. 38a, This Contract Contains Massdot Highway Division Price Adjustments for Diesel Fuel, Gasoline, Liquid Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete, Structural Steel and Reinforcing Steel. All Calculations Shall Be According to Massdot Special Provisions and Procedures. The Period Price Posted on the Massdot Website for the Month of March 2023 of $tbd/ton for Liquid Asphalt, $tbd/gallon for Diesel, $tbd/gallon for Gasoline, and $181.15/ton for Portland Cement and $tbd/ton for Structural/reinforcing Steel Are the Base Prices for This Contract. Each Prospective Bidder Must Have Experience During the Past Five Years in the Successful and Satisfactory Construction of at Least Three Similar Construction Projects, the Magnitude of Which Shall Be Not Less Than One-half the Work Herein Specified. the Successful Bidder Will Also Be Required to Comply With the Provisions of Chapter 306 of the Acts of 2004 in Regard to Required Osha Approved Safety & Health Training. The City of Fall River Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities in the Submission Received, and to Accept Bids Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the City of Fall River. The City Engineer Intends to Award a Contract on Behalf of the City of Fall River Within Thirty (30) Days After the Bid Opening.
