Renovation of a municipal facility in Elgin, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Structural archway need repairing as there is heaving in the posts causing brick and mortar damage. Structural review indicatess that inappropriate lintel joints have caused the archway to be damaged when heaving occurs and an engineer has proposed a new spline lintel as a remedy. Drainage remedies have already been implemented but the repair to the structure needs to be completed. See attached engineered plans for revire (IFR - Attachment #1) and initial engineering review (Attachment #2) for technical and specific descriptions of problem and solution.
