The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Water Services (Metro/MWS) is soliciting proposals for the Centennial and 49th Avenue Water Infrastructure Replacement, project will replace approximately 14,000 linear feet (L.F) of various diameter lined and unlined cast iron water main with new ductile iron (D.I.P. pressure class 350) water main. The entire project will upgrade existing public water mains to larger diameter replacement mains made of better materials. A few existing lines may be upgraded in material only, preserving the same diameter with the replacement mains (mostly main crossand re-connects, to be identified during design and construction). Detailed Scope MWS is seeking design services of a multi-disciplinary engineering team. This solicitation is for survey, design, and construction administration and inspection services for replacement and/or upgrades to the existing water mains supporting the areas around Centennial Boulevard and 49th Avenue. Project boundaries are 61st Avenue on the west, Centennial and John Merritt Boulevards on the north, Ed Temple Boulevard/28th Avenue North on the east, and Delaware Avenue on the south. The contract will be for all three phases of work (survey, design, construction administration/ inspection), however separate Purchase Orders (POs) may be issued for each project phase. The following scope of work is the minimum required effort. The selected firm shall supply all necessary labor and equipment to perform the work in accordance with industry standards. The selected engineering team will provide all surveying and engineering services required to complete the project as outlined in the procurement solicitation. Deliverables are to consist of surveying 2018 AutoCAD files (or later date), technical memorandums, milestone workshops, detailed drawings and specifications in standard MWS format, construction cost estimates, and record drawings in 2018 AutoCAD format (or later date). Construction drawings must be furnished in viewable 3D format for aid in review by MWS and/or selected Contractor. Engineering team shall coordinate all activities required to obtain all permits and approvals required as part of the project. MWS will reimburse review and/or application fees for such permits. A surveyor licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee must seal the survey drawings. An engineer licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee must seal the drawings and specifications.
