The City of Lake Worth Beach is soliciting bids from responsible, experienced and qualified entities to build and construct numerous hardening and reliability improvements to its 26kV Sub transmission, 26kV distribution and 4kV distribution systems, while systematically converting the 4kV distribution to a higher voltage, where needed, based on engineering studies performed by in house and outside engineers. Question Deadline: Thu May 18, 2023 4:00 PM (EDT) Requests from Bidders for interpretation or clarification of the Bid Documents shall be submitted at lakeworthbeachfl.bidsandtenders.net or emailed to the Procurement Division of Financial Services at purchasinq1@lakeworthbeachfl.gov The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking bids from additional qualified companies to build and construct numerous hardening and reliability improvements to its 26kV Sub transmission, 26kV distribution and 4kV distribution systems, while systematically converting the 4kV distribution to a higher voltage, where needed, based on engineering studies performed by in house and outside engineers. The result will greatly enhance the hardening and reliability of the City's electrical distribution and sub transmission systems. The selected bidder(s) should be proficient in all phases of construction of sub transmission and distribution systems, including but not limited to: substation build, pole setting, pole framing and insulation, transferring conductors, acquiring MOTs for both road work, railway work, etc. The City currently needs additional firms for this program and is planning on selecting multiple qualified companies on this project.
