Notice is hereby given that sealed bids are sought, according to specifications of a contract to be let by The Penfield Fire District, hereinafter referred to as "District" for kitchen renovations at the District's Station No. 1, located at 1838 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY . 1. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of a certified check or bid bond with a surety company licensed to do business in New York State, payable to the Penfield Fire District in the amount of 5% of the bid. 2. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. 3. All deposits, except that of the successful bidder, will be returned. 4. All bids shall be for the total contract, and no partial bids will be accepted. Alternates to specifications allowed if so stated in bid in accordance with bid instructions. 6. The District will have up to 45 days to accept the bid. Awarding of any contract may be subject to the successful approval of permissive referendum. 7. Upon acceptance of the bid, the successful bidder shall execute a contract in accordance with their bid in form and substance acceptable to the District. If bidder neglects or refuses to execute said contract, the said deposit shall be forfeited and retained by the District as liquidated damages. BID SECURITY Bid Security in the amount of (5%) of the bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidding PREVAILING WAGE RATES Bidders will be responsible for paying prevailing wages throughout the course of this project. Each Bidder must comply with the laws of the State of New York, insofar, as they apply to the fire station construction. All bids shall be less State, Federal, or local taxes that are not applicable to municipal purchases. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (45 days) forty five days after the date set for the opening thereof. A Certificate of Authority to do business in the State of New York, under Section 1301 of the Business Corporations Law of the State of New York shall be submitted by any out-of-state corporations or companies with their bids.
