It shall be the responsibility of the General or Prime Contractor to assure that all subcontractors comply with this law. Contractors must hold an active license issued by the State of Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of MUNICIPAL AND PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION or HIGHWAY, STREET, AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION. Contractors must provide their license number when requesting plans, specifications, and contract documents and place their license number on the face of the envelope containing their bid. No Bidders may withdraw his/her bid within Forty-Five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Owner's Standard Form of Agreement/Contract for construction together with the Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) working days after the award of the contract.
