Site work for a water / sewer project in North Venice, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the installation of approximately 1,800 linear feet (LF) of 24-inch diameter wastewater force main. The proposed force main will improve system redundancy and enable the City to convey additional flow from new development. This project includes two (2) trenchless crossings of the northbound and southbound lane of Interstate 75 (I-75). The two trenchless crossings are approximately 220 feet long each. A steel casing installed by microtunnel boring machine (MTBM) is specified for this project. A range of steel casing diameters, minimum of 42 inches and a maximum of 60 inches, have been permitted by the Florida Department of Transportation for these crossings. Casing and MTBM size to be selected by the contractor. Bid Bond 5% Proposal Bond Required The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City.
