Remodeling of a municipal facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
**As of April 26,2023, This project has been awarded to Colossal Contractors, Inc with the awarded amount of $29,894.40.** The Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) is seeking proposals under the State's small procurement regulations to secure the services of an interior construction contractor to remodel a storage room to turn it into three new office spaces. Small Business Reserve Procurement This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to certified small business vendors. Only businesses that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article, 14-501 --14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and that are certified by the Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs (GOSBA) Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract. Period of Performance All work shall be completed in no more than 3 (three) business weeks, within 30 business days after the receipt of the Notice-to-Proceed, and no later than April 28, 2023. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. Work outside of those hours is not permissible. Questions shall be submitted to the Procurement Officer via Email at christian.kramer1@maryland.gov no later than March 22, 2023 at 4pm Local Time. Scope of Work All work shall comply with the General Conditions for Construction Contracts issued by the State of Maryland Department of General Services, and all other codes, norms, regulations, etc. where applicable. A work plan shall be submitted to the Contract Monitor prior to the construction work, and only upon approval of the work plan by the Contract Monitor any work can begin. The work plan shall include at a minimum a floor plan of the new offices and the wall of the conference room showing doors and outlets, and an estimated schedule detailing what task will be performed when. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolition and disposal of a wall: a. Between room 1711 and the Conference Room behind it; b. Bulkhead remains; c. Length: 28ft, width: 10ft, height: 8.5ft 2. Demolition and disposal of two closets in Conference Room; 3. Build a new wall: a. Between room 1711 and Conference Room; b. From floor to ceiling grid; 4. Build two new walls: a. In room 1711; b. To separate three spaces; c. From floor to ceiling grid; 5. Install an additional door: a. Make the opening and dispose of excess materials; b. Install a metal frame; c. Install wooden door; d. Install door handles; e. Install new door stop6. Install one additional sprinkler head; 7. Re-wire outlets and light fixtures as needed: a. Install four additional electrical outlets; b. Install one additional light switch in middle office space; c. Estimated length of wires: 30ft; 8. Install three additional phone lines: a. To connect switch in Phone Room with each new office space; b. Install a new face plate for each line; c. Estimated length of each cable: 120ft; 9. Install three new network cables: a. To connect network patch field in Phone Room with each new office space; b. Install a new face plate for each line; c. Estimated length of each cable: 120ft; d. At a minimum CAT5 or later; e. At a minimum rated CMP as regulated in the NEC 800 of ANSI/NFPA 70; 10. Install new cove base in all affected areas; and 11. Install new carpet tiles in all affected areas. The offeror may add to the above list where needed.
