Bidders are required to provide a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid amount for bids over $100,000 and the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Surety for both the Bid Bond and the Performance/Payment Bond must be from an acceptable qualified firm listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular No. 570. Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work by the state in which the work is located and are required to carry General Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance. The Contractor shall also have a valid business license from the City of Murray. The contractor shall submit evidence of such before the bid may be considered. Attention is called to the fact that wages, not less than the Davis-Bacon Wage Rates as published by the U.S. Department of Labor must be paid on this project. All contractors shall be required to comply with the Equal Opportunity requirements of the Federal Government as well as Section 3. All contractors will also be required to comply with the stipulations contained in the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and to certify to compliance at the completion of the work. All contractors shall also have an active Lead Based Paint Certified Renovator status. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids, without the consent of the Authority.
