Site work for a water / sewer project in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The stream stabilization/fish habitat enhancement project is located in the Lehigh Parkway, owned by the City of Allentown. The project consists of the installation of in-stream habitat structures (including a sawtooth modified mudsill, log-framed deflectors, and isolated boulders) and streambank grading. PA Fish and Boat Commission will provide construction oversight to assist with the installation of log and rock for the construction of fish habitat structures. Oversight will also be provided for the regrading of streambanks. Work is expected to be completed between August 21st-August 25th, 2023. In the event of a delay due to inclement weather or some other agreeable circumstance, the work must be completed no later than September 30th, 2023. Clarification Deadline 4/6/2023 3:00 PM The Lehigh County Conservation District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the organization. This project is subject to prevailing wage rates. Installation of the following stream structures and their quantities: 1. Installation of 1 sawtooth modified mudsill 2. Installation of 13 log-framed stone deflectors 3. Placement of 31 isolated/random 38-48" boulders 4. Grading of ~730 ft. of streambank II. Erosion Control Measures 1. Refer to Erosion and Sediment Control Plan 2. Site stabilization and seeding a. For any disturbance, the "Contractor" must restore back to the existing cover type (i.e. lawn must be restored to lawn and streambank/floodplain must be restored to riparian seed mix). b. Streambank/floodplain should be a native riparian mix such as ERNMX-263 or similar III. PA Fish and Boat Commission 1. The PA Fish and Boat Commission will provide construction oversight to assist with the installation of log and rock for the construction of fish habitat enhancement structures. Oversight will also be provided for the regrading of streambanks. 2. The PA Fish and Boat Commission, with assistance from the Lehigh County Conservation District, will utilize their own tools/equipment to install the rebar and/or geo-fabric into the logs. IV. Equipment 1. A rubber track truck is recommended for this site but not required.
