The project includes approximately 1,615 linear feet of 8-inch (8") cured-in-place pipe ("CIPP") sanitary sewer rehabilitation and approximately 40 linear feet of 8" sanitary sewer dig and replace point repair. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, and duly licensed for the appropriate section of Bid. Each proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, said check to be made payable to the City of Graham. In lieu of the above case or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond in the same amount. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents and the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only answers issued by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Bidders should contact the Engineer not lessthan 72 hours before bid opening to secure any Addenda which may affect bidding. The final day to submit questions is close of business Friday, March 17th 2023.
