Demolition, site work and addition to a golf course in Wyoming, Michigan. Working plans call for the addition of a golf course; for the demolition of a golf course; and for site work for a golf course.

Provide a design that utilizes the existing equipment storage building and up to an additional 2,500 sq ft of new construction to house the following: o 2 full-time employees and up to 12 seasonal employees o Radiant heated shop space o Offices o Meeting space / Lunchroom o Restroom o Lockers for staff use o Storage areas for parts and supplies including equipment, irrigation, fluids o Dedicated space for reel grinding and metal fabrication equipment o Pre-engineered metal or post frame construction is acceptable o Plan to retrofit existing maintenance shop space for electric golf cart charging up to 70 carts. o Site Plans to include on-site utility connections and any exterior improvements for operating new facility o Include services to develop base site plan of buildings, utilities, and topography as needed to develop a comprehensive plan. The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting proposals for Architect and Engineering Services for the expansion of an existing maintenance facility located at Kaufman Golf Course, 4807 Clyde Park Avenue, Wyoming, MI 49509. The maintenance facility expansion will accommodate office and shop space, golf course maintenance equipment, Parks equipment and related supplies. The total Project Budget for the Kaufman Golf Course Maintenance Facility Expansion is "not-to-exceed" $375,000 inclusive of all professional fees, construction, FF&E, soft costs, general conditions and all contingencies. SPECIFICATION-Attachment A-complete scope, including background and function requirements of the facility o FLOOR PLAN-Attachment B-existing maintenance facility site plan o LOCATION MAP-Attachment C-aerial view of existing facilities Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondents. Kent County will evaluate, award and contract for the goods and services in this solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. The solicitation will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the solicitation, is the lowest price. A pre-submission conference is scheduled for this request. Attendees should arrive a minimum of five (5) minutes before the conference scheduled date and time to sign-in. Attendees will not be allowed to sign in after the conference has commenced at mandatory meetings and are disqualified from the process. The conference purpose is to provide equal opportunity to seek clarifications and inspect the location (if applicable). Attendees shall have fully reviewed all solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the conference. Attendees are responsible for taking their own meeting notes and shall be an employee or authorized reseller of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities to participate. No person exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms shall attend the in-person conference. Respondent must notify the above Kent County contact if a person in attendance at the conference exhibits known COVID19 symptoms and/or is confirmed to have COVID-19 in the fourteen (14) days following the conference. If submitting the bid electronically, attach a copy of the properly executed Bid Bond to the bid. The original Bid Bond may be requested by the Kent County Purchasing Division and is to be received within two (2) business days of request. The Bid Bonds of the unsuccessful Respondents will be returned after the Solicitation is awarded. The Bid Bond of the successful Respondent will be retained until the contract is fully executed by all parties involved. Page number maximums are strongly recommended but not compulsorily disqualifying. Kent County is not liable for costs incurred prior to award. A submission shall constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days from the due date/time. In the event the notification of award is not made within sixty (60) days from the due date/time, the Respondent may withdraw or provide a written extension of their submission. Currently maintenance operations are separated into three (3) separate facilities. These consist of a shop with offices, equipment storage, and a chemical building. The desire is to combine the shop and offices with the equipment storage, thus allowing the opportunity to re-purpose the existing shop for cart storage and increase workflow efficiency.
