Renovation of a fire / police facility in Greenwich, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This project includes the replacement of the existing Building Management System (BMS) in the Police Headquarters building with a new system to match the standard BMS systems installed in other Town facilities. This BMS manages the heating, ventilation, and AC systems throughout the headquarters, maintaining critical functions such as the radio room, server room, dispatch, cell block, as well as all the other operating areas. It is a combination of computers and smart devices that automatically implement changes to systems throughout the building to optimize environmental conditions. The system is over 10 years old; the manufacturer has sunset many of the system components making replacement very difficult and expensive. As of March 15, 2023, this project is included in the Town of Greenwich's FY 2024 - 2038 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2023-2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
