This is a pre-solicitation notice for the JFK Mid-Rise Elevator rebuild and modernization at the John F Kennedy Federal Building in Boston, MA. The project scope includes the modernization of the three public passenger midrise (bank 3, cars 7, 8, & 9) elevators that serve floors One through Fifteen in the John F. Kennedy Federal Office Building.
Modernization will include all new machines, controls, mechanical features, and finishes resulting in a full elevator system replacement in the building. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS code
for this service is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors. The Small Business Size
standard is $16.5 MILLION.
The approach to this source selection for this procurement will be in accordance to FAR part 15
and represents the best value to the government. The selection will be made in accordance with
specific price and technical factors, and not necessarily the lowest price. The solicitation will
require offerors to submit technical and price proposals. Offerors will be evaluated on technical
capability and price, with technical quality being equal to price.
This will be a negotiated procurement and there will not be a public bid opening. The solicitation
will be available on or about May 8th 2023 with a site visit to follow estimated to be held in
the month of May. This solicitation is being issued as "Total Small Business Set-Aside."
