Per addendum 1 pre bid meeting scheduled for 3/28/23 at 1:30pm SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY: The following is a summary of the scope of work required for the New Gymnasium Flooring & Building Improvements project for Covington Douglas Schools. This summary is listed to state the basic requirements for the project and is not all inclusive of all work required. See drawings and specifications for additional items and requirements to complete the project. The existing gymnasium building was damaged by broken water pipes. The broken pipes have since been repaired. The damages done by the water in the building were extensive and caused a need for repairs. Demolition of existing ceramic floor tile and base, gypsum board on walls, wall base, ceramic wall tile, millwork, gymnasium wood basketball floor, etc. has been done by others. The requirements of this project are to reconstruct damaged areas and remove and replace items damaged by the water. HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING 1. Replace gypsum wall board and ceramic wall tile at Girl's Rest Room where indicated on the drawings. 2. Replace toilet partition base shoes in Girl's Rest Room. GYMNASIUM BUILDING 1. Replace toilet partition base shoes. 2. Replace wall clean-out covers. 3. Remove and replace sections of concrete floor slab to remove and replace existing floor drains and sewer piping in Locker Rooms (4). (See drawings) 4. Replace vinyl wall base throughout Gymnasium. 5. Replace ceiling tiles at 3 rooms, north Entry Corridor, Laundry Room, and Boy's Home Locker Room. 6. Provide new millwork in Concessions. 7. Concessions space shall be enlarged (alternate bid item). 8. Replace gypsum board wall panel where damaged, ruined, and cut out/removed by others. 9. Repair/replace light fixtures at wet ceiling areas and fixtures that have been wet and/or damaged.Provide bead blast over entire gymnasium court floor for rough surface preparation for new concrete floor topping. 12. Provide new concrete floor topping system over existing concrete floor slab in gymnasium. 13. Provide new Cold Fluid Applied Waterproofing over new concrete floor topping. 14. Provide new tile flooring where indicated on drawings in gymnasium building. 15. Provide new basketball court wood flooring system and markings system in gymnasium. 16. Provide new trophy case. 17. Install new insulation above entries where indicated. 18. Strictly adhere to manufacturer's recommended installation methods and instructions. 19. Clean all surfaces in existing building. Remove all dust on walls and surfaces caused by previous demolition activities and damages to building. 20. Remove old deteriorated caulking and recaulk all deteriorated caulk/sealant joints. 21. Provide all items shown and/or specified to complete work shown on drawings and in specifications.
