Water Utilities, Buried Storage Tanks, Miscellaneous, Construction, Demolition/Building Removal/Hauling/Salvage, Water Storage Tank, Elevated - Ground Storage Tanks, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure The work under this Contract includes removal of a 500,000 gallon steel elevated water storage tank and restoration on North Broadway at Augusta Street in Green Bay bid bond equal to at least five (5) but not more than ten (10) percent of the bid payable to the City of Green Bay as a guarantee that if his/her bid is accepted, he/she will execute and file the contract and a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. Only the Proposal Pages, Bid Bond, Affidavit of Compliance, Disclosure of Ownership and any Addenda issued shall be submitted. Only Proposals submitted by firms appearing on the City of Green Bay list of plan holders will be opened. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute such contract and performance bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Questions are due in writing no later than Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. SCOPE OF WORK The work under this contract "GREEN BAY WATER UTILITY BROADWAY TANK DEMOLITION" shall be in accordance with the plans therefore, the requirements of the "City of Green Bay Standard Specifications and Construction Standards for Public Works", 2023 Edition, the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, Current Edition, the provisions of Instructions to Bidders, and the following Special Provisions. The State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, Current Edition shall be known hereinafter as the WisDOT Standard Specifications. City of Green Bay Standard Specifications and Construction Standards for Public Works, Current Edition, is supplemented by these Special Provisions. The work on this Contract will consist of removal of a 500,000 gallon double ellipse steel elevated water storage tank with a 150 ft. high water level and associated restoration. The work performed under this Contract includes removal and disposal of the steel elevated water storage tank (the concrete foundation is to remain in place), removal of the chain link fence, abandon/fill-in the pit vault, removal of associated cabling and conduit, and restoration of disturbed areas with topsoil and seed. The work includes removing and salvaging the police department antennas and camera including cables from the tank prior to the start of the tank removal. Contractor shall furnish all the material, labor, tools, equipment, services, methods, skills and supervision necessary to satisfactorily complete the work.
