The New Bedford Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide EXTERIOR CLEANING, SEAL COATING and PAINTING (NBHA- 23-110) to exterior building surfaces at the Federally funded (HUD) Bay Village (AMP 10 - Project 7001) public housing project in New Bedford, Massachusetts in accordance with the documents prepared by the New Bedford Housing Authority. The successful bidder, upon notification to proceed with the work, will be required to complete this project within thirty-five (35) calendar days. The project consists of but is not limited to the contractor providing all labor and materials required for the exterior cleaning, seal coating and painting of masonry, concrete brick & mortar and wooden trim surfaces of seven (7) residential 2-story apartment buildings as specified and in accordance with the project manual to complete the work. General bids will be rejected unless a Bid Deposit is included that is not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the total bid amount and made payable to the New Bedford Housing Authority. All bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J, to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive, the U.S. Dept. of H.U.D. 7460.8 REV2 and 2 CFR Part 200 200.317-200.326 each where applicable. The Authority will reject any and all bids when required to do so by the above referenced General Laws. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days upon opening of bids without the consent of the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any or all bids, or to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if it be in the public interest to do so.
