Project awarded to Carolina Utilities Company, in the amount of $14,035,000.00 for the Base Bid and $273,622.50 for Bid Alternate 2 totaling $14,308,622.50. The project consists of: 1. Clearing, Grubbing and Erosion Control 2. Installation of approximately 20,800 linear feet of 36-inch PVC (or 42-inch HDPE, see Bid Alternate 1) 3. Installation of four (4) 54-inch bored and jacked road crossings 4. Installation of seven (7) Air Vacuum Valve Assembly Vaults 5. Installation of one (1) chemical injection vault 6. Installation of approximately 34,500 linear feet of 1-1/2-inch HDPE communications conduit and hand holes (see Bid Alternate 2) 7. Traffic control, surface restoration, and all associated appurtenances as described in the Specifications and shown on the Drawings Bids will be received on Single Prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis. Bid and Contract securities shall be provided in accordance with Articles 10 and 23 of the Instructions to Bidders. NO WEAPONS: There shall be no weapons or guns allowed on City property or private property you are contracted to work at or on. Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
