Renovation of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project scope includes for a full replacement of the approx. 7,500 square foot roof and exterior mechanical penthouse walls of the Henry Angus Building (1973). The existing roof is a gravel ballast roof on a concrete substructure, with classrooms on the fourth floor below. The intent is to replace the roof with a conventional SBS 2-ply membrane roof with upgraded insulation levels. New exterior parapet flashing, base of wall tie-ins at mechanical curbs and the existing mechanical penthouse, are included. The existing stucco penthouse walls are to be upgraded, with new flashing tie-ins at the top of the main parapet. This will involve demo-ing the exterior penthouse walls down to the steel structure and stud infill, and replacement of the stucco with new cladding material.
