Questions shall be submitted to: aaron.wadley@LNCOpec.com Morgan County is accepting bid for surface treatment of identified roads. This project consists of surface treatment in Morgan County. Locations designated by the County representative. In addition to the current edition of the Georgia Department of Transportation Standards Specifications and Special Provisions, this work shall also be performed according to MUTCD and/or the following Special Conditions. o Any exceptions will be at the discretion of the Engineer and must be in writing. o The contractor will be responsible for all traffic control, price to be included in SY bid price. o The contractor to be responsible for temporary Striping, replacing striping in kind in temporary paint. o Contractor and/or Subcontractor shall be responsible for all layouts. The costs for layout shall be included in the overall bid price. o Prior to commencement of work, Contractor shall submit to Morgan County an asphalt job mix formula for each mix type, Chip Seal design formula that includes aggregate type and source, emulsion type and source, haul plan for each road or group of roads. o All required testing shall be done by the Contractor and/or Subcontractor. On-site testing of emulsion shall be done weekly and/or as directed by the Engineer. This testing shall be performed by an independent laboratory. Test samples shall be obtained from the distributor tank, nurse tank, holding tank, and/or delivery tank as directed by the Engineer. Samples may be required from all on site tanks. Final payment will not be made until all tests results have been provided to Morgan County or Representative. The costs of all testing shall be included in the overall bid price. o Prior to placement of Surface Treatment, existing shoulders shall be bladed by Morgan County. Contractor to coordinate work schedule with County representative. o Prior to work on Reese Road, existing gravel to be reset by Morgan County. Contractor to coordinate work schedule with County representative. o Contractor to immediately follow grading of Reese road with prime seal, the cost of this work to be included in SY bid price, per GDOT standards. o All existing RPMs shall be removed prior to paving operations. All costs associated with this work shall be included in the overall bid price. o See Bituminous Surface Treatment Special Provision Section 424.3.05.A for Seasonal and Weather Limitations on Surface Treatment. Place Surface Treatment - washed Stone #7 according to Table 2 Section 424 Bituminous Surface Treatment. o All material must be stockpiled, a minimum of 2 weeks before use. Contractor may coordinate location for stockpile with Morgan County representative. o There will be a one year warranty period on all work, beginning at final acceptance. Contractor may complete work between June 14th and October 1st 2023 .
