The work generally includes, but is not limited to; sweeping; application of microsurface asphalt binder and crack seal binder as per UDOT specifications (UDOT Special Provision Section 02735S). Type II microsurface treatment will be placed in the cul-de-sac areas and Type III microsurface treatment will be placed on all other areas as outlined on the maps provided; rolling joints as needed (per city engineer); crack blowing/cleaning; crack sealing (including along lip of curb), replace existing pavement marking paint as is in place or as outlined in striping plans and any other materials, transport, and labor necessary to complete job based on construction plans and UDOT Standards. South Jordan City currently maintains 258 centerline miles of asphalt pavement, 16 miles of city trails and 82,000 square feet of city parking lots. South Jordan City is located in Salt Lake County and positioned between 9400 S and 11800 S from the I-15 corridor to Highway U-111. Each construction season the city does regular maintenance of these roadways and a portion of that maintenance is microsurfacing. The city is looking for a contractor that can provide excellent work and materials for our microsurface projects for the 2023 construction season.
