Refurbish WWII Memorial Monument in front of the Public Library located at 1464 County Street in Somerset, MA. Replace the main memorial with same size, material and finish as existing. Scope of work available by emailing nfournier@town.somerset.ma.us The town of Somerset is in the process of refurbishing the town's WWII memorial. The following is the scope of work associated to this project. Replace the main memorial with same size, material and finish as existing. o All names will be engraved and painted using Lithochrome liquid vs the existing painted with aerosol cans. o Monument to be disassembled; base, columns and cap to be cleaned and repainted and then reassembled with new central monument. o A proof will be provided to the town for approval. o Removal of any and all materials not associated to completion of project. Specifically the cleanup of work site and proper disposal of materials there in. o Company must guarantee the integrity of the structure, painting and etching of names, for a period of at least 10 years. o Any cracks, damage, or deficiency must be addressed, fixed and repaired, at no cost to the town, for a period of 10 years. Damage associated to non-natural break down, such as a malicious act, accident, or catastrophic event such as an earth quake, is excluded from this requirement.
